[At first he wants to decline, but then Vector thinks of the gaping loneliness and how woefully unprepared for an attack it makes him feel right mow, so that he ends up Yuto just giving a tense nod in return.
When he arrives he'll be greeted by a curt 'come on in'. The insides of Vector's apartment has changed, displaying a mess of stuff that seems to have been torn out of place in search for something and only half-heartedly returned afterwards. Even the closet is open, showing a small collection of clothes that seem to range from a black leather jacket with a fluffy collar over Hartland standard school uniforms to a huge, clunky heap that's covered by a purple drape(?) on the floor of the closet. Next to it a good hundred cards are strewn carelessly.
The pitter-patter of water indicates that Vector is in the shower, but hasn't cared to close the door to the bathroom.]
[Yuto enters the apartment and casts a look around. The change is hard to miss and it sure is quite a mess here, but he doesn't say anything. The cards catch his attention for a moment longer, but not more.
The sound of water makes Yuto glance at the bathroom door, but he doesn't move from his spot. He's going to wait for Shingetsu in silence.]
I'm okay. [He smiles sheepishly, hugging his sides for a moment as if he needs to convince himself of that as well before he notices and quickly drops them in favor of drying himself off. There are a few bruises and scrapes on his woefully thin torso, but for the most part he seems fine.]
Just my nerves and my right eye, mostly. First realizing that somebody picked me up and carried me in here without leaving any traces and then that robot looking at me through the CereVice like some window... [He chuckles self-consciously.] Well, on the bright side I'm starting to see through that eye already again!
Uhm. [He frowns for a moment, sitting down. This is going to be a longer story.]
At first we were divided into groups of about five. Mr. Mosley went with us to the fifty-seventh floor, where they kept some sort of high security wing. There was a giant security door that was guarded by armed robots and all.
Then Mosley suddenly left us alone, muttering that he should go, he should go.
Right after that the security bots started shouting at us and opened fire. Or the other way round, it was such a huge commotion that it was hard to tell what happened first. Three of us got shot. Suddenly everybody but me had a weapon. One pulled out out of the loincloth of his kimono.
[Because how can you leave out that important detail?! He licks his lips to moisten them before he continues.]
We defeated the security bots with a small timer bomb and then went through a crack in the wall. There was an abandoned corridor with a bad floor and another security door in a cage. We managed to get it open using a part from one of the security robots. [That and the konami code aka. sheer dumb luck.]
Behind the second door was what looked like some sort of lab to me. There were cameras everywhere, and a pretty woman with claws instead of hands and feet sitting in a cage with iron parts. She was surrounded with cameras and very angry. At first we couldn't understand her, but when we tried to talk to her she suddenly switched into our language and blamed us of being with Ceres.
It took some time to convince her we weren't. [Not long enough? His frown deepens.] She gestured for us to come closer because she wanted to tell us something, but when we did she suddenly hissed and shouted that Ceres was betraying us and that they were here, looking through our eyes.
At that part my eye suddenly hurt really bad until it got that worse that I fainted. When I woke up I was back in my room and that robot that had killed that woman in that dream everybody saw a while ago video called me. It only looked at me before it suddenly smiled a really creepy smile and the words 'thanks' appeared on the screen. Then it was gone and all the other data I had about the trip on my CereVice too.
[Playing with his hands, he looks to the ground.]
It took some time until it started to work again. My right eye was blind at first, but it's slowly starting to recover too. And my D-Gazer that I had with me is broken.
[Yuto listens to it carefully, nodding every once in a while or frowning, but otherwise silent whole this time. He waits until Shingetsu finishes his story, but even then he doesn't speak right away. He only shakes his head after a moment, not even sure where to start.]
This doesn't make sense... I always thought that Ceres can't be trusted and that they aren't telling us the truth, but why did they organize those tours? Why did they let you see all of that? What is Ceres planning?
[They're just messing with them again, aren't they?]
We have to find that out... [Somehow. But how? Yuto leans on the nearest wall and crosses his arms.]
You said... that woman told you they were looking through your eyes? ...Or does that mean they did something to all of us here and they can see everything?
[There's an awkward silence for a moment before Vector reaches out and places a shy hand on Yuto's arm. Putting a smile on his face, he tries to be optimistic.]
Hey, now. I'm sure it'll all turn out for the best. There is no way of saying if this isn't just another game they are playing with us or not, and even if they aren't pulling our feet it's still better to know what to look out for than having to guess and suspect everything.
It's a word Yuma uses. It means about as much as "never give up even if it seems impossible, to always challenge, and to believe in oneself".
[He pauses for a moment before an enigmatic smile crosses his face.]
That's the one thing we'll always be able to agree on, I think. "You tried" is always better than "you took one look and gave up", right? Even if there is no chance that can be seen that doesn't meant that there isn't one you just haven't caught sight of yet!
voice;
Casting anger aside, Yuto speaks again more calmly, but still with worry present in his voice.]
I'm coming over.
[He's not even asking if he can.]

sorry for that mess of a tag up there! ><
Yuto. You came. [Putting some stuff away, he gestures for him to make himself comfortable.] I felt like taking a shower, I hope you don't mind.
[Shaking his head, he casually rubs his hair down with one hand.]
don't worry
[Yuto observes him, frowning a little with worry. He still doesn't move from his place though.]
Do you feel better now?
[Shingetsu sounded like he was in pain earlier...]

Then there are Shingetsu's words and Yuto frowns even more.]
Shingetsu... What exactly happened there?
[Yuto didn't ask earlier because he wanted to make sure the other is okay first.]

Yeah... That's exactly why I'm worried.
[He shakes his head.]
Even if they're really just messing with us. What aims do they have? It doesn't make any sense.

I think they messed with one of our eyes when they brought us back. To keep an eye on what we're doing. Most were holding their right eyes.
no subject
So they know everything.

[His correction is gentle but firm. Vector doesn't want Yuto to leap into full reckless frustration mode yet.]

...Right.
[That's right, they can only see. They can't hear anything.]

[He nods, this time with confidence.]
You're right. Everything has to be okay in the end.
[No matter what is CERES planning.]

Even if it's not perfect we still have what it takes to make it really good. That's what kattobing means, after all.

In any case, he really has to meet Yuma one day.]
